Bell pepper(Capsicum) fry

Bell pepper(Capsicum) fry is a unique side dish which can served with rice, quinoa or roti. Roasted sesame seed powder adds a nutty & delicious flavor to the dish.

Makes 4

4 Green/red bell pepper finely chopped
1/2tsp turmeric
salt to taste
1tsp Red chili powder
3tbsp Roasted sesame seed powder
-Dry roast sesame seeds in a pan on a medium heat. Allow it to cool and make it into a coarse powder in a food processor.

For Seasoning:
1/2tsp Mustard
1/2tsp urad dal
1/2tsp chana dal
1/2tsp cumin seeds
1 dry red chili
1tsp olive oil

-Heat a pan with oil on a medium flame and add all the seasoning allow mustard seeds to splutter and dals to turn golden brown.
-Then Add chopped bell pepper, salt, turmeric ,mix well and allow it to cook covered on a medium to low flame for 10 to 20mins.Stirring occasionally.
-Once cooked add the roasted sesame seeds powder ,red chili powder mix thoroughly. Switch of the stove and serve hot with rice or quinoa.


-You can us assorted bell pepper and follow the same recipe.
