Steamed sweet potato along with roasted fennel seeds ,cayenne pepper and salt. Combine with buckwheat flour and multigrain flour to form a soft dough and rolled into a flat bread.
1 medium steam sweet potato(wash and place it in steamer. Once cooked allow it to cool completely and then peel the skin and remove the pulp into the mixing bowl.)
1/4 cup buckwheat flour
1/4 cup multigrain flour
1tsp roasted fennel seed powder or 1tsp cinnamon powder
1/2tsp cayenne pepper powder
salt to taste
-In a large mixing bowl add sweet potato pulp, all the seasonings. Mix well.
-With the moisture from sweet potato combine the buckwheat and multigrain together to form a soft dough.
-Make 6 equal parts of dough and allow it to rest for 5mins.Then roll into a round flatbread.
-Heat a pan on medium low heat, place the flatbread and cook evenly on both the sides .
add few drops of ghee. Continue the same process for rest of the dough.
-Serve hot with curry of your choice or eat with ketchup.
-Add few drops of water if the dough if hard.
-If buckwheat flour unavailable you can follow the same recipe using wheat flour or multigrain flour.
