Tawa pulav is a one pot meal prepared from steamed rice, vegetables along with pav bhaji masala. Quick and easy to make for weekday nights.
1 cup cooked basmati rice
2 cups steamed vegetables(potato,carrot,peas, cauliflower)
1 large finely chopped capsicum(green or red)
2 medium finely chopped tomatoes
1 medium onion finely chopped
pinch of turmeric
salt to taste
1tsp ginger chili paste
1tbsp Pav bhaji masala(Store bought)
2tbsp cilantro finely chopped(for garnish)
1)Heat a large skillet with oil on a medium heat add onion, salt, turmeric. Fry until it turns golden brown.
2)Add ginger chili paste, tomatoes cook until the tomatoes are soft and rest of the seasoning(pav bhaji masala,) mix well.
3)Add steamed vegetables, bell pepper and fry for a minute.
4)Add cooked rice and gently mix all the ingredients until rice grains are evenly coated with masala.
5)Turn off the stove and serve hot with plain yogurt or Mint raita.
