Spicy Coconut chutney is a South Indian chutney prepared from fresh coconut pulp along with tamarind and green chilies . It served with rice or Indian breakfast like Idli, upma, Dosa as a side dish along with some ghee.
1 Fresh coconut pulp(cut into small pieces and set side)
pinch of turmeric
salt to taste
few drops of water
5-6 Dry red chili
1/2tsp fenugreek seeds
1/2tsp mustard seeds
pinch of Hing (Asafetida)
1)Heat a pan on medium flame add oil and all the seasoning. Fry for few minutes allow them to splutter and turn golden brown. Allow the seasoning to cool down completely.
3)In a blender add all the ingredients along with the seasoning. Pulse it into a smooth paste. Add few drops of water if the mixture is too dry.
4)Take it into a serving bowl and enjoy with rice.
