Bagara(flavored) rice

It is one of the popular Hyderabad whole spice flavored aromatic plain rice.Simple to make and can be paired with any protein rich sides or mirchi ka salan. For this recipe we don’t use any vegetables or spice powders for this recipe.

Prep time:2mins
cook time:20 mins
Serves 2-3

Ingredients:
1 cup rice
2 cup water
1 tsp ghee
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste

For Seasoning:
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
2 Cardomom
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp finely chopped mint
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 green chilies

Procedure:
-Heat a pressure cooker on a medium heat and add ghee+oil and all the seasoning fry for few minutes.
-Then add water bring it to a boil its now time to add rice and close the lid.
-Slow cook for 20 mins until the rice is well done.Serve hot with curry,mint raita and roti (optional) of your choice.IMG_6405
