Paneer Curry

Paneer(Indian cottage cheese) curry is prepared in onion,tomato gravy and thickened with almond or cashew paste.Also seasoned with some Indian spices.Serve it as a side for Naan.

Prep time:5 mins
Cook time:15 mins
Serve 3-4

1/2 cup chopped paneer
-In a pan add few drops of ghee and sautee for few minutes.Set aside.
1 medium onion finely chopped
3 medium tomato finely chopped
5-10 cashews or almonds(soak in warm water)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste

For seasoning
1 tbsp paneer masala(store bought)
Pinch of turmeric
salt to taste
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp dry fenugreek leave powder

1)Heat a skillet with oil on a medium flame and sautee onion for few minutes,add tomatoes,ginger garlic paste.Cook for few minutes.
2)When the mixture is cool add it to blender along with cashews or almonds and blend it to smooth paste.
3)Transfer the mixture into the pan and all the seasonings,paneer bring it to a boil and simmer for few minutes.
4)Switch off the flame and serve hot with Indian flat bread(Roti,Naan or Kulcha)
