Prepared these wonderful Jeera (Cumin) cookies for bake sale at work tomorrow.I love these wonderful egg-less sweet and salty cookies. It can be served with some hot tea for an evening snack.

Cooks time:15 mins
1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour (Maida)
1/4 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
2 tbsp powdered sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4tsp baking soda
2 tbsp roasted cumin seeds(Dry roast the cumin seeds and set aside)
3-4 tbsp Milk
-Preheat the oven to 350 F.
-In a large mixing bowl whisk butter and sugar until it is creamy and smooth.
-Add flour,baking powder,baking soda,salt ,milk mix well to form a stiff dough.
-Sprinkle some flour and roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
-Use a cookie cutter to cut into your desired shapes.I am using circle.
-In a baking tray line a parchment paper and place the cookies bake until golden brown crispy for 15 mins.
-Remove from oven and transfer cookies to a wire rack.
-Once cool serve with a cup of tea.
-Cookies can be stored in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks.
-Every oven is different make sure you check occasionally so that they don’t get burnt.
