Tamarind Date chutney sweet,tart and spicy a perfect homemade dipping sauce for Samosa or Pakora.Have you tried my vegetable samosa ,pakora ,pani puri,Chaat recipes?

9-10 Mejdool Date Deseeded (roughly chopped)
3-4 tbsp Jaggary (palm sugar)
4 tbsp tamarind paste
2 cups water
1 tsp cumin seed
1 tsp fennel seed
-In a skillet dry roast cumin, fennel seeds until brown and fragrant.Using motor and pastel ground them to a fine powder.set aside.
pinch of salt
1 tsp ground ginger powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp chaat masala
-Heat a saucepan on a medium heat combine all the ingredients and bring it to a boil.simmer & cook slowly for about 20 mins or until the sauce is thick.Stiring occasionally.
-Allow the mixture to cool and strain the liquid through the strainer.
-Transfer it into a airtight glass container and store it in the refrigerator.
-Serve this sauce as a side for Samosas,pakora’s ,dahi puri and pani puri.
