Cabbage Chutney

Cabbage chutney prepared by sauteing cabbage along with garlic,green chilies and seasoned with mustard seeds/hing.A perfect side for rice & all south Indian breakfast (Idli, dosa, uttapam, pesarattu).

Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time:10-12 mins
Serves 4

Step 1 :Ingredients:
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
4 garlic cloves
3-4 green chilies
2-3 tbsp tamarind paste
1/2 tsp oil
Pinch of turmeric

For Seasoning:
1 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
pinch of hing

At the end:
Salt to taste

1)Heat a skillet on a medium heat and all the ingredients from step (1) ,saute until raw flavor of cabbage is gone.
2)Add salt to the cabbage mixture and allow it to cool .Blend everything together into a coarse paste.Transfer it into a bowl.
3)Heat a pan add all the seasoning ingredients allow mustard seeds to splutter.Turn of the heat and add the seasoning mixture to the chutney.
4)Serve with steam rice,idli,dosa or uttapam.
