Bread Kofta curry is creamy & delicious. Usually these kofta’s are fried but i am baking to make it guilt free and healthy.Perfect side for Indian flat bread like roti, paratha’s, Naan.These kofta’s are placed in a rich and creamy onion,tomato gravy.
Cook time-20-30 mins
2 bread slices-Chop the bread slices into pieces and Add it to a blender to make a coarse powder.
1 medium boiled potato-Peel the skin and grate set aside.
1 tsp green chili
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
1 tsp chopped cashews
pinch of salt
2 tbsp plain yogurt
2 tbsp chickpea flour
1/2 tsp garam masala
Step 1:Procedure for Bread Kofta:
-In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients to form a thick dough.
-Divide the dough into 8-10 balls.
-Preheat oven to 400(F).Place all the kofta valls in a baking tray and bake until golden/crispy.For about 10-15 mins.
1 medium onion paste
2 tomato puree
salt to taste
1 tsp shahi paneer masala
pinch of dried kasuri methi(fenugreek leaves)
At the end:
1/4 plain yogurt
Step 2:Procedure for gravy
-Place a saucepan on medium heat add oil once it is hot enough add onions fry until it is cooked.
-Then add tomato puree,masala,salt and cook until the mixture comes together.
-Finally add yogurt mix well and water as needed to make it a gravy consistency.Bring the mixture to a boil.Turn off the flame and garnish with dried kasuri methi.
-Place the kofta’s(Step 1) in a serving bowl and add the onion tomato mixture.Serve hot with roti or Naan.
