Mysore Bonda

Mysore bonda perfect evening snack.It is crunchy outside and soft inside.Every bite of it has a hint of spicy & sour flavor.

It is prepared using all purpose flour along with plain yogurt and seasoned with onions,green chilies,cumin,pinch of red chili powder.make this into small dumpling and deep fry until golden brown and crispy.

Prep time:10min
Dough rest time:20-30 mins
Cook time-15-20mins

Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup water as needed
salt to taste
pinch of baking soda
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 medium red onion finely chopped
3-4 green chilies finely chopped
Oil for frying

Procedure:
-In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients mix well and set aside for 30mins.
-Heat oil in a pan for deep frying once the oil is hot enough.using a spoon drop bite size dumpling into the oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
-Continue the process for rest of the dough.
-Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup or eat as is.

Notes:

-The dough should not be too thick .You can add few drops of water to bring it to correct consistency.
-The dough should not be too thin if so it is absorb lot of oil.Add flour to bring it back to correct consistency.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. Yes you can substitute wheat flour or buckwheat flour. But taste may differ. Let me know how it turns out for you.
